Visit websiteI love the conceptual problem solving aspect of editorial illustration - creating imagery that is at once recognizable, but not cliche. Something that tells a story in one frame.
I love this kind of illustrative work because you have to create imagery that conceptually reinforces or tells a story in such a way that makes people want to read more or dig deeper. I get to produce imagery in my own unique style and see it distributed in print or online to a large audience.
I started my career as a successful Illustrator/Designer working in Los Angeles and over time transitioned into roles as Art Director and now Creative Director. However, I still take on a lot of illustration assignments and produce work for stock sales at images.com.
My work has appeared in many books and magazines including Entrepreneur, Playboy, VideoGames, Muscle and Fitness, The Los Angeles Times, The Vancouver Sun, USC Business Journel and many others.
Most of my work is done on the computer now, but I still break out the paints on occasion and splash it around the studio while I work.
A long, satisfying and successful career creating visual imagery for a large and well distributed audience.
